Dr. VijayPal Khanagwal

Dr. Vijay Pal Khanagwal is a Medico-legal Advisor to the Government of Haryana and serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College, Karnal, with over 32 years of teaching experience since March 1991 and as Professor for the last 16 years since January 2007. He holds MBBS and MD (Forensic Medicine) degrees from PGIMS, Rohtak, LLB from M.D. University, Rohtak, and Master of Human Rights from Pondicherry University. He has supervised 10 MD theses and co-supervised 2 MD and one Ph.D. theses. He has received numerous awards for his studies and social work at the state and national levels. He is an active member of various Scientific Societies/Associations, including the World Association of Medical Law, Global Academy of Forensic and Investigative Medicine, Indo-Pacific Association of Law, Medicine & Science, Indo-Pacific Association of Forensic Ontology, Indo-Pacific Academy of Forensic Nursing Science, Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine, Punjab Academy of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology and Indian Medical Association, etc. He is a National Fellowship Awardee of the Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine as well as the Indian Congress of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology. He has attended around 70 Conferences and workshops and has published over 80 research papers in national and international journals.
