The Summer Training and Internship Lab Program by SIFS India offers a unique opportunity for aspiring forensic students and professionals alike to enhance their practical skills through hands-on sessions during the summer months.
Through a combination of classroom sessions, hands-on training, and simulated exercises, participants will gain insights into Crime Scene Investigation (CSI), Fingerprint Analysis, Cyber Forensics, and Document Examination. Additionally, emphasis will be placed on understanding the legal aspects pertinent to Forensic Science. Networking and collaboration opportunities with industry experts will enhance participants' employability with industry-specific skills.
Crime Scene Investigation will let you learn about Crime Scene Analysis, Management, and Documentation; Evidence Collection and Analysis; the importance of Forensic Photography; and legal considerations to be followed.
Fingerprint Analysis focuses on understanding the anatomy of Fingerprints, Principles of Fingerprint Identification and Classification Systems, Techniques for Fingerprint Development, Enhancement, Lifting, Preservation and Examination, Challenges associated with Fingerprint Evidence. Practical demonstration and hands-on exercises in Fingerprint Analysis.
Cyber Forensics covers introduction to Digital Forensics and Cybercrime Investigation, Forensic importance of Digital Footprints, Digital Crime Scene Analysis, Handling Digital Evidence, Tools and Techniques for Data Acquisition and Analysis from Electronic Evidence, Examination of Digital Evidence including Computers, Mobile Devices, and Networks, Case studies and practical exercises in Cyber Forensic Investigation.
Document Examination covers fundamentals of Document Analysis and Authentication, Forgery and Alterations, Secret Handwriting, Handwriting Examination and Signature Verification, Tools and methodologies for document examination, Hands-on practice sessions with document samples.
Forensic Biology and Serology covers the introduction to Biology and Serology, Blood Identification, Blood Group Examination, Blood Pattern Analysis, and understanding Antigen-Antibody reactions. It also includes analysis of Semen (Acid Phosphatase Test) and Saliva (Starch-Iodine Assay Test), Microscopic Examination of Hair, Species Identification, and Fiber Examination.
