Dr. Sanjeev has served as the Former Deputy Director and HOD (Biology and DNA Fingerprinting Unit), Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) Chandigarh and has established DNA Fingerprinting, Forensic Human Skull Examination, and Serology since 1993. He has topped in UPSC, got selected in CFSL, Chandigarh, and became HOD of Biology lab in 1993. He has worked as Prof and HOD, Forensic Science, Chandigarh University and as Faculty at Central Detective Training Institute, Ministry of Home Affairs, post-retirement. He has been awarded the National prestigious Union Home Minister’s award for his contributions to forensic biology and DNA fingerprinting in 2004. He received specialized training in Forensic Biology from the Dept of Anthropology, University of Alberta, Chief Medical Examiner’s office, Edmonton, Canada, Smithsonian Institute and FBI, Laboratory, Washington, D.C. USA in the year 1995. He has experience in analyzing more than 5000 crime cases related to Forensic Biology, DNA fingerprinting, and skull examination in India. He has 2 Ph.D. Scholars, more than 70 post-graduation students of forensic, dental surgery, and computer facial reconstruction. He has organized online various training for Senior Police Officials including IPS officers throughout India and has delivered lectures to police officials and attorneys and scientific officers all over the globe. He is on the Examination Panel of forensic of Kurukshetra University and Dyal Singh College Karnal. He has more than 41 research papers related to Forensic Biology in International and National journals of repute.
