Mr. Yogesh Kumar
Mr. Yogesh Kumar is an Assistant Professor (Forensic Science) at Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. He has done his master degree in Forensic Science (Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University Agra, UP, 2006), PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, Master degree in Psychology and completing his Ph.D. in forensic Science. He has a total experience of 18 years in Forensic Science Laboratory, Delhi, National Dope Testing Laboratory, Delhi and Forensic Science Laboratory, A&N Islands. He has served as In-charge of Forensic Science Laboratory (A&N Police), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, India (2013 to 2024). During his service experience, he has visited more than 1000 crime scenes and took part in many high-profile police investigations. In his research achievements, he has developed the first classification of bleeding patterns in post mortem ant bite cases. He has done the first study on cause of suicide in A&N Islands. He has also worked on the establishment of a micro body farm in Andaman & Nicobar Islands during the first study of A&N Islands on rate of decomposition. He has delivered numerous lectures and training to police personnel on Forensic Science. He has delivered special lectures on crime scene, NDPS and death investigation offline/online to different agencies at national and international level. He has been continuously working on the establishment of Forensic Taphonomy (Body Farm) in India and discussing the agenda in different national and international conferences. Mr. Yogesh Kumar has been a member of the International Association of Coroners and Medical examiners (IACME) U.S., Honorary member of International Association of Medicolegal Experts (IAMLE), India and life time member of International Association of Scientist and Researchers (IASR), India.
