Dr. Hema Acharya
Dr. Hema Acharya is currently working as Assistant Director in the Forensic Psychology Division at Directorate of Forensic Science, Gandhinagar. As an Assistant Director, she does Brain Electrical Oscillation signature (BEOS) test, Layered Voice analysis (LVA) and Psychological assessment including forensic psychological profiling, crime scene forensic psychological profiling and statement analysis. She has worked as Clinical Psychologist at Hospital for Mental Health, Vadodara. She has also served as an Assistant Director at Gujarat State AIDS Control Society. She has completed her Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology. She has obtained Diploma in Clinical and Community Psychology, Certificate course in Behaviour therapy and master’s in arts. She visited as Guest faculty at Gujarat University and M.S. University, Vadodara. She has counseled parents of Cerebral Palsy Children at Polio foundation, Ahmedabad and consistently imparted training to NGOs, Medical/Paramedical staff and counsellors during her tenure in Gujarat State AIDS control society. She has more than 23 years of experience in the Research and teaching and has worked on numerous famous cases as a lead. She has published numerous research papers in various National and International journals.
