Dr. Krishnadutt H. Chavali
Dr. Krishnadutt H. Chavali is currently working as Professor and HOD of Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, AIIMS Raipur. Prior to this, he has worked as Associate Professor of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh and Assistant Professor at Govt. Medical College, Vadodara. He has also worked as a tutor in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at Govt. Medical College, Surat. He has completed his MBBS from Pramukhswami Medical College, Karamsad and MD with the specialization in Forensic Medicine from Govt. Medical College, Surat. He was a topper in Forensic Medicine in MBBS 2nd Professional examination and was also awarded the Merit Certificate under the National Scholarship Scheme for performance in SSC examination. Later, he also did DNB in Forensic Medicine from the National Board of Examination, New Delhi and obtained a PG Diploma in Hospital Management from Alagappa University, Karaikudi. He is an active member of various Associations such as National Academy of Medical Sciences, Indian Society of Toxicology, Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine etc. He has published numerous research papers in the various National and International journals. He jointly developed a ‘Checklist for Medicolegal Autopsy’ with Dr Swapnil Agrawal and Dr Lavlesh Kumar. He was also a Co-author of the book "Legal Medicine Manual" along with Swapnil Agrawal and Lavlesh Kumar, published by Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers. He has also contributed a chapter in “Legal Issues in Medical Practice” edited by Singh, VP published by Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers.
